ttH anomalous coupling in double Higgs production
نویسنده
چکیده
We study the effects of top-Higgs anomalous coupling in the production of a pair of Higgs boson via gluon fusion at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The introduction of anomalous ttH coupling can alter the hadronic double Higgs boson cross section and can lead to characteristic changes in certain kinematic distributions. We perform a global analysis based on available LHC data on the Higgs to constrain the parameters of ttH anomalous coupling. Possible overlap of the predictions due to anomalous ttH coupling with those due to anomalous trilinear Higgs coupling is also studied. We briefly discuss the effect of the anomalous ttH coupling on the HZ production via gluon fusion which is one of the main backgrounds in the HH → γγbb̄ channel.

Measuring the Higgs Boson Yukawa Couplings at an NLC
The search for the Higgs boson is one of the primary objectives of present and future colliders. Once the Higgs boson has been discovered, it will be important to measure its couplings to fermions and to gauge bosons. These couplings are completely determined in the Standard Model and the process ee ! tth provides a direct mechanism for measuring the tth Yukawa coupling. Since this coupling can...
متن کاملMeasurement of the Higgs self-coupling at JLC
We examine the double Higgs production process at JLC. We focus our attention on the measurement of the Higgs self-coupling. The sensitivity of the triple Higgs coupling measurement is discussed in the Higgs mass range 100-200 GeV and the center of mass energy to be 500 GeV-1.5 TeV. After the discovery of the Higgs boson, detailed study of the Higgs potential will be one of the important issues...

We demonstrate that the process e + e − → tth at the NLC provides a powerful tool for extracting the tt (Yukawa) couplings of the h. In combination with the e + e − → Zh process , an accurate determination of the ZZ coupling of the h is also possible. The resulting ability to distinguish different models of the Higgs sector is illustrated by detailed studies for two-Higgs-doublet models. In ext...

The motivation to install roman pot detectors at 220 m within ATLAS is quite clear. It extends nicely the project of measuring the total cross sections using roman pots at 240 m [2] by measuring hard diffraction at high luminosity in ATLAS in the LHC. As we will see in the following, it is also complementary to the FP420 project which aims at tagging protons at 420 m. The physics motivation of ...
متن کاملMeasurement of the top-Higgs Yukawa coupling at a Linear e+e− Collider
Understanding the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking and the origin of boson and fermion masses is among the most pressing questions raised in contemporary particle physics. If these issues involve one (several) Higgs boson(s), a precise measurement of all its (their) properties will be of prime importance. Among those, the Higgs coupling to matter fermions (the Yukawa coupling). At a L...
